Ode to Tom Servo
Trapped on a desert island, far from
hearth and friends,
Lonely and forgotten, will it never end?!
Hope is getting shallow, oh, tedious despair!
Then: What's that on the horizon, way over there?
Something's coming toward you (more than you deserve) oh!
Flashy and dynamic - its cheerful, peppy, Servo!
It doesn't matter that you're a starving
wreck,
Servo's gleely touring, on a vacation trek
Looking for new fodder, movies to make you wince.
He spies you - 'Ah, look! A potential audience!'
Don't you know you're blessed, honored and very lucky?
Here's your new companion - resourceful, sweet, and plucky!
First things first, yes: He builds a
coconut cabana
Then stocks it all with goodies, munchies, beer, bananas,
VCRs, big screen TVs, enough for any appetite,
Then adds a decent wardrobe, plumbing, gee, overnight!
After you're fed and coddled, filling out and thriving,
Time to enjoy the place a bit - 'Let's go pearl diving!'
Cartwheeling around the campfire, proudly
He'll lead the singalong, and LOUDLY.
He's transformed your beach, a blur of red, all rosy
Now comfortable and pleasant, luxurious! All cozy.
'Let's go treasure hunting! This place must have some loot.'
He'll dig it up and share with you. Larcenous, but cute.
For making good from bad, no one's more
qualified.
He's packed with gobs of talent, info, and all bona fide
To motivate (and levitate!), assure a great good time.
There's nothing like a Servo, loose, and in his prime.
He'll make you almost grateful for this rousing, fun exile.
Rescue? No, or maybe. But he'll make the wait worthwhile.
