The Alien Invasion of
North Dakota
Part 3: Pacification
Once the enamored farmers were paid off
with unlimited pallets of blueberry yoghurt and dispersed to
deal with wholesaler's everywhere, the aliens proceeded to storm
the countryside and strike fear and alarm into every human heart.
The alien tanks rolled onward, unstoppable, horizon to horizon,
crushing everything in their path, and gave a mighty jubilant
yell each time a town or village was neutralized, the citizens
prostrate and helpless
The only hindrance to total conquest was the occasional array
of peasants with tractors who would stealthily find tanks trapped
in settling ponds or irrigation ditches, load them onto flatbed
railroad cars, where the tanks were then hauled far from succor
to be consumed by ungulated pets or woven into patio furniture.
Despite these minor setbacks, North Dakota eventually fell to
the embrace of a superior force.......
